Data deletion
Effective 26 July 2026
You can delete your data from TickReply yourself, or ask us to do it. Both routes are below, along with exactly what gets removed and when.
If you are a TickReply customer
Delete individual contacts
Go to Contacts, open the contact, and choose Delete. This removes the contact record, their conversation history, their message content and their attribution data.
Disconnect a WhatsApp number
Go to Settings → Channels and choose Disconnect. We immediately stop sending and receiving on that number and delete the stored Meta access token.
Delete your entire workspace
Go to Settings → Workspace, or email privacy@tickreply.in from the address on your account. We will confirm the request, then delete:
- All contacts, conversations and message content.
- All templates, flows, drip campaigns, broadcasts and canned replies.
- Your knowledge base and any AI embeddings derived from it.
- Connected channel records and encrypted access tokens.
- User accounts, team memberships and API keys.
If you are not a customer
If a business messaged you using TickReply and you want your data removed, contact that business directly. They control the data and we act only on their instructions — we cannot delete it on your behalf without them.
Two things you can do immediately:
- Reply STOP to the conversation. That records an opt-out and excludes you from every future campaign from that business.
- Block the number in WhatsApp, which prevents delivery regardless of what the business does.
If you cannot identify or reach the business, write to privacy@tickreply.in with the number that messaged you and we will route your request to them.
Timing
| Action | When it takes effect |
|---|---|
| Contact or channel deleted in-product | Immediately |
| Opt-out recorded | Immediately, and permanently |
| Workspace deletion request | Within 30 days of confirmation |
| Removal from encrypted backups | Within 30 days, as backups rotate |
What we keep, and why
We retain invoices and payment records for as long as Indian tax law requires, currently eight years. These contain billing details, not message content or contact lists. We may also retain a minimal record of an opt-out — the phone number and the fact of the opt-out — because deleting it would allow the contact to be messaged again, which is the opposite of what was asked.
Full detail is in the Privacy Policy.
